A Paicega

Pesoz, Principado de Asturias

A Paicega, located in the municipality of Pesoz (Asturias) is an old town built in the middle of the 20th century with the purpose of housing the workers employed in raising the imposing Salime dam. Nowadays the houses and the rest of the facilities used at that time are abandoned, although a lot of the buildings, barracks, electrical installations, remains of the cable car and even the Church can be seen. It is a privileged viewpoint that allow to contemplate good part of the middle course of the Navia river and the surrounding mountains.
