Spain Film Commission presents the new tax incentives at Marche du Film that starts on June 22
For one more year, Spain Film Commission participates in Marché du Film at Cannes International Festival, where it will publicize the recent improvement in Spain's tax incentive system, in addition to emphasizing that Spain is a safe destination for film industry.
This year's edition of this traditional market will be entirely online and SFC participates in a space coordinated by the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts - ICAA and which also has the collaboration of ICEX - Invest in Spain. The accredited partners are: Asturias Film Commission, Cantabria Film Commission, Castilla La Mancha Film Commission, Mallorca Film Commission, Navarra Film Commission, Soria Film Commission, Terrassa Film Office, Valencia Film Office and Valladolid Film Office. The ones who have their own space are: Andalucía Film Commission, Ciudad de Madrid Film Office - Film Madrid, Canary Islands Film and Catalunya Film Commission.
From June 22nd to 26th, bilateral meetings and events will take place for accredited attendants. On June 24th at 5:00 pm the session "Shooting in Spain - Your Tax Rebate Mate" will take place. Teresa Azcona, Vice President of Spain Film Commission and Natacha Mora of Canary Islands Film will participate, among other professionals. It will be announced the details of the modification of the tax incentives for international filming. Since May 6th, they add up to 30% for the first million of expenses and 25% for the rest of expenses with a top of 10 million euros (50% -45% in the Canary Islands).
