The King and Queen of Spain visit FITUR CINE and show their support to screen tourism
The King and the Queen of Spain, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, have visited this morning the stand of FITUR CINE/SCREEN TOURISM, in a clear commitment with screen tourism that this year counts with its own stand in FITUR and with the collaboration of Spain Film Commission.
During their visit to FITUR CINE/SCREEN TOURISM, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia have been received by Carlos Rosado (president of Spain Film Commission), Juan Manuel Guimeráns (vice-chairman of SFC and coordinator of Valladolid Film Office) and Víctor Lamadrid (second vice-chairman of SFC and coordinator of Cantabria Film Commission).
The King and the Queen have shown interest in the promotion of the screen tourism, since they are both great cinema lovers. In addition, Don Felipe wanted to know more about Spain Film Commission’s activity: the attraction of shootings to Spain and the promotion of screen tourism.
For the very first time Screen tourism counted with its own section in FITUR, with the aim of promoting this kind of tourism in Spain, enriching the offer in these territories and promoting a product that is every time more demanded by the public.
“For being the first time that screen tourism has its own space in FITUR, our goals were: showing what is being done in Spain in terms of tourism related to films and TV series and also developing a national strategy”, as Carlos Rosado said.
Until next Sunday, FITUR CINE/SCREEN TOURISM, which counts with the collaboration of Spain Film Commission, will be the meeting point of two of the most important industries in Spain: tourism and audio-visual industry.
With its own space in the Pavilion number 2 of IFEMA, FITUR CINE/SCREEN TOURISM will count with an exhibition area, a networking area and an area aimed to the development of a conference program from the 24th to the 27th January, organized by Spain Film Commission.
