Various directors and location managers visit Asturias in search of the best filming locations
This weekend, Asturias will host the first familiarisation trip (“fam-trip”) for movie, television and advertising directors and location managers. Over the course of two and a half days they will participate in a wide range of activities that will enable them to understand first-hand the many attractions of the region for filming locations.
This new initiative, that seeks to position Asturias as a destination of reference in northern Spain for filming audiovisual projects, is promoted by the Comarca de la Sidra region - made up of the municipalities of Bimenes, Cabranes, Colunga, Nava, Sariego and Villaviciosa - in conjunction with the Asturias Paraíso Natural Film Commission and the Cluster Association of the Creative, Cultural and Audiovisual Industry of Asturias (ACCICA).
This first fam-trip for location managers, taking place from the 14 to 16 of June, will be attended by dozens of professionals from all over Spain who have worked on national and international film and television projects.
