Marche du Film 2023 - Cannes Film Market

Spain will be the guest country of the next 2023 edition of the Marché du Film, which begins its activities on May 16, within the framework of the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

Spain's participation in Cannes is organized by ICEX Spain Trade & Investment, the public entity of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, and ICAA - Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual, which have developed a complete program aimed at promoting talent and the audiovisual industry. The Spain Film Commission, in its strategy to promote Spain as a preferred filming destination globally, will participate in this edition together with twelve members of its network: Andalucía Film Commission, Castilla-La Mancha Film Commission, Canary Islands Film, Catalunya Film Commission , Film Madrid, Madrid Film Office, Mallorca Film Commission, Film Valencia, Navarra Film Commission, Terrassa Film Office, Valencia Film Office and Valladolid Film Commission. Until May 24, activities and professional meetings scheduled by SFC will be carried out that will give continuity to the work carried out in markets such as the British, North American, Indian and Australian and a study will be presented on the sets and filming facilities in Spain.

SFC's participation in the Marché du Film is part of the actions carried out by the entity to help consolidate the Spanish Audiovisual Hub, one of the engines of economic reactivation launched by the Government of Spain and which, in addition to attracting international filming to the country, is focused on promoting tax advantages to make investments in the sector.

The plan includes public investments and reforms to achieve a significant boost to the entire value chain of the audiovisual industry based on the strengths that Spain possesses, such as a solvent audiovisual industry, well-trained and prestigious professionals, a world-renowned creative capacity and a comparative advantage in the growing global market for audiovisual production in Spanish.
